Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God’; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. (Psalm 43:5)
“Dick and I together visited six or seven places that were more convenient to our St. Simon’s Island home before deciding upon Quitman. At Quitman, we found an extraordinary level of care, loving staff, and new friends. Dick lived there happily for more than a dozen years. When we decided to make a planned gift to Presbyterian Homes, we did so because of our desire to help the Caring Hands Fund. It is comforting to know that Dick and I shall have provided a perpetual gift to this ministry”–Sue Brase
The “Caring Hands Fund” provides support and stability to more than 400 of the most fragile residents of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. Last year, the Fund provided more than $3,100,000 for skilled nursing care and other assistance for residents in need. This Sunday May 10, consider making a special Mother’s Day Offering to Presbyterian Homes of Georgia’s “Caring Hands Fund” as a way of expressing gratefulness to God for our wonderful older saints who have nurtured and parented so many in the faith.
Your gift will ensure that Presbyterian Homes of Georgia can care for their residents and bring hope, peace and dignity to many lives. During the offering portion of the 8:30 and 11 am worship services, worshippers will have an opportunity to give via the envelopes in the pews or by using Pleasant Hill Presbyterian’s QR code located on the back of the worship bulletin. And all contributions will be matched by an outside donor, so how can you pass up on a literal life-saving deal like that?!?!
Also, if you are interested in having fun and fellowship with the older saints of Presbyterian Homes, join us for Family Bingo & Pizza Lunch at Presbyterian Homes: Calvin Court on Saturday May 23. We will gather at PHPC at 10:30 am to caravan to the location in Buckhead. All ages are welcome!
Already booked that day? Consider donating items for the bingo prizes. Your support and participation are much appreciated! Those interested in going, please contact Ruth Manlapas at email@example.com or via Facebook Messenger.
