Sunday June 5: Discovering Jesus On The Road. During 11 am Church Schoo, everyone made their own Flat Jesus to take on their summer journeys!
Flat Jesus went out to lunch in Duluth!
Flat Jesus visited Sin City but didn’t save anyone cause it was more than a 100 degrees!
Flat Jesus greeted the HS Youth returning from Montreat, NC.
Flat Jesus traveled to New Orleans for the HS Youth Mission Trip.
Flat Jesus visited Mike The Tiger at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Flat Jesus ate good at a quaint inn in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Flat Jesus was on a boat in Rhode Island.
Flat Jesus learned to say “Aloha!”

Sunday June 12: Discovering God In Dreams. During Dr. Dave Fry’s sermon on Ezekiel’s vision of The Valley of the Dry Bones, artist and pastor Lisle Gwynn Garrity of A Sanctified Art painted a representation of the text on canvas. The finished piece is hanging outside the sanctuary!
During the 11 am Church School, Lisle guided folks through an art exercise where they put their visions of God’s love and kingdom on large banners
Sunday June 19: Discovering God In Our Neighbor. We studied Matthew 25 “The Least of These,” read and discussed stories of two residents at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries and prepared health kits for Clifton.
Sunday July 17: Discovering the Spirit in Creation. Elder and church intern Courtney Henry lead a wonderful lesson on the Creation story in Genesis.
Sunday July 24: Discovering God Among Strangers and Neighbors. Folks studied the story of Abraham Greeting Three Visitors and The Parable of The Good Samaritan. And then participants made large prayer posters and origami prayer birds to go to the cities of Baton Rouge, Dallas, St. Paul and Orlando who suffered terrible tragedies this summer.
